Brown Book Shop is located at 1517 San Jacinto Street in Houston Texas 77002.  We are also available worldwide via the web.

What are your business hours?

We are open Monday through Friday 8:30am to 6pm 

We are closed for major holidays, New Years, July 4th, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Christmas.  

What are the methods for ordering?

You can order via our website 24 hours a day, give us a call during business hours or come visit us at our physical location in Houston, Texas.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major forms of credit cards, checks, cash, wires.

What is your return policy?

 All sales are final.  

We are unable to issue a refund for your purchase.  Please confirm the items that you require prior to making your purchase.  All items are non-returnable unless previously authorized and approved by a supervisor.  A 15% restocking fee will be assessed on all returns that have been authorized and approved by a supervisor.  

Contact us to obtain a Return Authorization Number before sending any items back to us.  We cannot accept a return without a Return Authorization Number.  A copy of the itemized customer invoice listing the returned items must be enclosed with your return shipment.  Shipping charges are non-reimbursable.  

All returns must be in salable condition.  We are unable to accept any returns on: 

All Sale books, directories, all codes and technical standards, all society/association documents, all test review texts and solutions guides, shrink wrapped items that have been opened, software or books with disk packages that have been opened, items that have been special ordered.

Are my shipments insured?

Yes, we do insure shipments until they reach your destination

Do you ship internationally?

Yes we ship to any country that UPS or Fedex ships to.

Do you purchase used books?

No we do not.  Our policy is to only sell new books to our customers

2. Research

Which titles / publishers do you carry?

We carry any and every technical publisher in the world.  We are able to obtain any title that is still in print.  We have worked with thousands of publishers for decades.

I am unsure of which books I need, can you help me?

Absolutely!  We have a full staff of experts in the technical fields who have been researching titles for our clients for decades.  Ask our staff for any help at all.  No question is a bad question. We dont judge!
