A Prince Hall Masonic Quiz Book
This is a book which is intended to give white Masons some insight into the way typical black Freemasons view the fraternity. It should also be educational to the members of the Prince Hall Affiliation. Some of the authors conclusions will be offensive to both blacks and whites. Most of the facts will surprise many people. Walkes has done a magnificent job. The book is abrasive and in many respects it is controversial. To those of closed minds it will be offensive but, to thinking men, both black and white, it will be a revelation. Walkes does not pull any punches. He criticizes the Prince Hall fraternity as readily as he does the white fraternity. If you read this book with an open mine, you will learn a great deal not only about black Masonry but about the way a black man thinks of Masonry. In the words of William H Upton, P.G.M. of Washington, it will cast some "light on a dark subject."
